At Kellermen’s we come together, singing all as one.
We have shared another season’s talent, play and fun.
Summer days will soon be over, soon be autumn stars.
And tonight the memories whisper softly in our hearts.
Join hearts and hands and voices, voices hearts and hands.
At Kellermen’s the friendships last long as the mountain stands.
Do you recognize those lyrics? If you are anything like me, that song played on repeat as I wore out that VHS tape of Dirty Dancing just to watch the end of the movie over and over and over again. As Baby explained in the beginning of the movie, Kellermen’s became a family vacation tradition and a second home. The staff knew the regular families. Kids grew up with a connection to the place that brought so many together – sharing seasons of talent, play, fun and creating family memories. Adults relaxed, took a break from their day-to-day routines and reconnected with their families while enjoying local entertainment, games, crafts, and the outdoors. Now – what if I told you I knew the perfect spot to live out your own Nostalgic Family Summer Vacation just a short road trip away? A place to experience gorgeous scenic nature, complete relaxation, and connecting with your family in the most peaceful setting. Think hiking, lake fun, s'mores around the campfire, starry nights and complete seclusion with epic mountain and lake views!
There is something new on the horizon in Hochatown, Ok, nestled in a beautiful natural surround at the top of Cordillera Mountain. S’mores Sunrise Lakeview Lodge will remind you why we all love sunrises. With views from the expansive patio overlooking Broken Bow Lake and the Kiamichi Mountains, the sunrise coming up over the lake is one of the most beautiful sites to awake to. The cabin also sits directly backing Beavers Bend State Park with hiking trails to Mountain Fork River directly from the mountain. You won’t find another cabin more secluded than S’mores Sunrise, perched at the top of the mountain on 19 gated acres. This cabin offers the ultimate in luxury, privacy and peaceful escape.
As you drive up to the cabin, you’ll be astonished by the 5,000 sq ft of luxury that awaits you. As you enter, you’ll first find the adult game room on the first floor. You know parents designed this cabin when there is an adult hangout space separate from where the kids want to play, which allows everyone to enjoy their activities without being on top of each other, but also come together when it’s time for a competitive family game night. This also allows the grown ups to be able to stay up and play after the kids have gone to bed in the upstairs bunkbeds. The downstairs gameroom offers fun for all - including a pool table, shuffleboard, poker table and even a commercial size Golden Tee game. While our goal is for you to unplug and relax, we understand that often catching up on a little work is still necessary. We accommodate those having a working vacation with a 3-person office workspace that has direct ethernet plugins to allow a more secure internet connection.
Next you’ll find the beautiful well stocked gourmet kitchen with a double oven, chef island and every cooking item you’ll need for large family dinners including an extra large Instapot, both adult and kids dishes and utensils, as well as a stocked pantry with seasonings, oil, tinfoil, etc. We’ve anticipated your every need to make this your home away from home. In the kitchen, we also have a 12 ft built-in table nook with spectacular views as well as another 8 ft table off the kitchen to allow plenty of seating for all. In addition, there are two kids picnic tables to accommodate the little ones. The kitchen opens onto a full deck outside with a sliding glass wall.
The living room boasts 20 ft ceilings with a stunning floor to ceiling fireplace and custom feature wood wall. This room has large windows, allowing for the natural light and views to flood into the space. The furnishings are comfy, beautiful, and truly inviting. The Living room has a 70 in TV, with all streaming services from Disney +, Neflix, Hulu, Discovery + as well as cable TV.
This giant luxury lodge cabin in Hochatown/Broken Bow sleeps 30 with 2 King Master Suites, 3 Queen Suites and 2 bunkrooms. Each bedroom has a particular theme that allows guests to truly escape and feel transported to absolute comfort and serenity. I dare you to pick a favorite room - I haven’t been able to yet!
The Mystic River Retreat is the main Master King Suite with en-suite bathroom that gives a strong spa retreat vibe, with beautiful natural wood, shiplap walls and an artistic nod to a mountain range and the colors seen in a mountain range on the horizon, the room is decorated in peaceful cream, coral and blue accents. One of the most amazing features of this room, is stepping out on the patio to hear the sounds of the Mountain Fork River waterfalls flowing just a short distance from the back of the cabin. The bathroom has an oversized walk-in shower with a ceiling mounted shower head and a window exposing a beautiful Mountain View.
Also downstairs, is the Sweet Magnolia room with two Queen beds, a private deck with a handicap accessible ramp entrance! (There is no other cabin with this feature in Broken Bow.) This room is decorated in Cream and Light Blue and gives all the comforts of home, including a full en-suite bathroom and plenty of room to maneuver around.
Bedroom 3, called Red River, also located on the first level, is a King Suite with an attached bunk room for families with smaller children – this is our son’s favorite spot to tuck away and relax… you can pull the barndoor closed for a little nook hideaway. This room feels a bit more rustic but has windows on either side of the bed and a glass door walkout that gives access to the to it’s own patio and allows nature to seep into the room.
Now onto the upstairs, where the kids gameroom loft has everything a child could dream of to stay entertained. Your kids will have so much fun playing air hockey, foosball, custom arcade game, tons of board games, card games and they even have a game table. Off of the loft gameroom are the two bunkrooms, one a bit more themed for girls and the other combined with the media room that is a bit more themed for boys.
Dreamcatcher is a magical room filled with dreamcatchers on every wall. Bright and light with colors of teel, coral, pink and cream, it is every girl’s dream room. This room has built in
bunk beds with 2 queens on bottom and 2 XL Full beds on top.
The en-suite bathroom boasting 3 sinks and a makeup area with plenty of mirrors, light and beautiful counter space to primp for nature… or themselves, whatever moves them.
The boys bunk room is themed as Arrowhead Adventure and doubles as a media room, with a 75 inch screen tv, large sectional sleeper and built-in bunks across the back wall. Also with bunks featuring 2 queen beds on bottom and 2 XL full beds on top, this room is equipped to sleep 10-12. This room also has an attached bathroom with high-end modern finishes.
Split bedrooms upstairs on the other side of the house from the bunkrooms include Amethyst with 2 Queen Beds, which is decorated to mimic the purple tone you can see in the Mountain Views from this room. The Amethyst room has a huge fully private balcony with amazing views. It is truly a gem!
Then there is the Sunrise room, also with 2 Queen beds. Of course, the name of the room says it all… this is where early risers will want to stay and not miss the sunrise over the mountains and lake. It is truly breathtaking!
Each room has its own special touch, so every guest will feel like they have the BEST room. Each has been designed to maximize comfort, scenic views and every need families or large groups may have. In fact, an additional sliding glass wall is upstairs that opens onto the expansive upper deck that adjoins to each bedroom’s walkout upstairs deck, allowing guests to fully take in the breathtaking sunrises over Broken Bow Lake. The serenity of the nearby Mountain Fork River as it rushes by can be heard from the balconies, adding a relaxing white noise to an already calming experience in nature.
The first floor deck has a Blackstone flat-top griddle, built-in propane grill and an outdoor living room with a large screen tv, great for game days. From the first floor deck, you can go down the steps to a lower deck area that has a 10-person Hot Tub. Near the base of the deck is a huge fire pit area with surrounding Adirondack Chairs and three swinging loungers. There are custom cornhole games, ladder ball, and a horseshoe pit under the house where it’s covered so you can still play games even if it’s raining.
We didn’t forget the kiddos for outdoor fun. We have a custom-built Huckleberry style treehouse that can be accessed by rock climbing wall or rope ladder. Off the treehouse we have 4 regular swings, a surfboard swing and a dual glider swing. You can get down from the treehouse from a spiral slide, which is the cherry on top for this ultimate outdoor play adventure for kids.
No one will want to leave S’mores Sunrise Lakeview Lodge… and everyone will be excited to make this an annual family vacation tradition! Like Kellerman’s, you will share seasons of connecting with loved ones, play and fun - and friendships and family memories will last a lifetime.
